The Center for Pennsylvania German Studies, located at the Dewees Tavern, is open on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm and Sundays from 12 to 4 pm. Enjoy five exhibition galleries filled with a wide variety of Pennsylvania German furniture, fraktur, textiles, pottery, and much more!
Our research library focuses on local history and genealogy, Pennsylvania German art and culture, and American decorative arts. The library is open by appointment only; contact us at [email protected] to schedule a visit. We also offer research services for those unable to visit in person.

Henry Muhlenberg House

The Henry Muhlenberg House is open for guided tours on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm and Sundays from 12 to 4 pm. Please stop first at the Dewees Tavern to request a tour. Contact us at [email protected] to schedule a tour outside these hours.

Speaker's House
151 W. Main Street
The Speaker’s House and kitchen garden are open for guided tours by appointment. Because the building is unheated, tours may be limited during the winter. Contact us at [email protected] to make an appointment.

Muhlenberg Parsonage
The parsonage is undergoing architectural study in preparation for its restoration and is not yet open for tours.

Farm Stand
151 W. Main Street
The farm stand is open on Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm at the Speaker's House from June to October. Looking for our Historic Trappe honey? You can buy it in either of our museum stores, located at the Dewees Tavern and Henry Muhlenberg House.
Walking Tour
Take a self-guided walking tour and enjoy seeing the many historic buildings along Main Street at your own pace. Stop at Trappe Borough Hall to pick up a walking tour brochure or print a brochure in advance of your visit.
