Subject File Collections

Family Files Collection Inventory List

A collection of loose materials of secondary nature organized into folders in alphabetical order by family last name. Each folder may contain a range of newspaper clippings,  photographs, programs, articles, brochures, maps, and other ephemera. Material dated before 1920 or of fragile nature has been removed and filed separately within our Vertical File Manuscript Collection.

Pennsylvania Decorative Arts Inventory List

A collection of loose materials of secondary nature relating to decorative arts in Pennsylvania organized by topic into folders. Each folder may contain a range of newspaper clippings, photographs, programs, articles, brochures, maps, and other ephemera about a specific subject.

Muhlenberg Family Special Collection Inventory List

An alphabetical listing of single folder manuscript and reference materials relating to the Muhlenberg family. Material is archival, primary source, and fragile in nature and are housed in archival boxes separate from the vertical and family files that are housed in filing cabinets. Some material was previously housed in the vertical file and/or family file collections and were removed and placed in this collection for preservation purposes. Prominent figures include Frederick Augustus Conrad Muhlenberg, Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg, and The Rev. Henry M. Muhlenberg.
