Historic Trappe is thrilled to be partnering with Weaver Orchard to offer homemade fasnachts. Fasnachts are a Pennsylvania German donut-like treat that is traditionally eaten on Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday and start of Lent. Fasnachts are made to use up any sugar and oil in the house before fasting for Lent.

We are selling fasnachts by the half dozen ($12) in your choice of plain, glazed, powdered sugar, plain sugar, and cinnamon sugar. A variety pack is also available. Fasnachts *must* be ordered online by February 26 and will be available to pick up at the Speaker's House, 151 W. Main St., on Saturday, March 1, from 10 am to 1 pm.
