Harvest Fair

Saturday, October 11, 10 am to 4 pm

Celebrate fall in Trappe at a family-friendly Harvest Fair held on the grounds of the Muhlenberg House and the Speaker’s House. Enjoy live music, delicious food, 18th century trade demonstrations, colonial kids’ games, and locally-made artisanal wares. Learn how to make sauerkraut and apple cider. Visit the Muhlenberg House to meet upholsterer Ann King and learn about 18th century bedding. Dewees Tavern will also be open for tours.

At the Speaker’s House, learn about the historic site's ongoing restoration on a behind-the-scenes tour and stroll through an authentic Pennsylvania German kitchen garden to learn about heirloom plants and raised-bed gardening. Visit the restored kitchen to learn about colonial cooking and food preservation.

Free parking will be available at St. Luke’s Fellowship Church, 200 W. Main Street (directly across from the Muhlenberg House).

Limited handicapped parking is also available on-site at the Speaker’s House and Dewees Tavern.

Cost: $10 Member Adult, $12 Non-Member Adult (includes all three museums). Kids are FREE.
