Founder's Feast
Sunday, July 19, 5 to 8 pm
Party like it's 1776 with a community dinner held at the Speaker’s House! Enjoy a variety of delicious foods provided by local restaurants, and craft beer from Troubles End Brewing while dining al fresco on the grounds of a beautiful historic site.
The evening begins with drinks and appetizers at 5 pm. Stroll the paths of an authentic Pennsylvania German garden filled with heirloom vegetables, flowers, and herbs. Explore the newly opened Speaker's House, which just wrapped up a 25-year restoration project.
At 6 pm, join your friends and neighbors at long communal tables set up on the lawn for a buffet dinner.
Participating restaurants to date include Buttercup Bistro, Captain's Market, Grace's Cafe, Catering by Brenda Carter, Dawat Indian Cuisine, Handel's Ice Cream, Kimberton Whole Foods, Italian Delite, Jasmine Asian House, Marzella's Pizzeria, Siam Deluxe, Speck's, Sumneytown Hotel, and Trappe Beer & Soda. Trouble's End Brewery will provide beer and their specialty cocktail; iced tea and soft drinks will also be served.
Live music from Jann Glider and Friends will round out a memorable summer evening.
Parking is available at the Trappe Shopping Center, accessible via Main Street or Route 113. The dinner will be located on the Speaker's House lawn at 151 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426.
