Christmas Tours and Holiday Shopping
Tours of the Muhlenberg House and Dewees Tavern decorated for Christmas will be available throughout December during our regular weekend hours (Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm and Sundays 12 to 4 pm) or during the week by appointment. Our museum stores are also well-stocked for all of your holiday shopping needs, including springerle cookies, redware pottery, fraktur, Christmas decorations, and much more.

German Woodcarvings at the Dewees Tavern
Marvel at the tiny wonderland of vintage woodcarvings from the famous Erzgebirge region of Germany displayed throughout the Dewees Tavern's Center for Pennsylvania German Studies.

Immerse yourself in the world of local folk artist David Ellinger, who helped popularize Pennsylvania German culture in the mid-20th century. Our special exhibition Native Son: The Life and Art of David Ellinger includes several wintry landscape paintings of nearby farmsteads.
